President Tinubu, who was sworn in on May 29, 2023, will mark his first anniversary in office on Wednesday.

The Tinubu government introduced some reforms like petrol subsidy removal and unification of the foreign exchange windows but continues to battle the effects of such policies with soaring inflation rates and high cost of living crisis.

The President’s handling of the state of the economy has attracted criticism from many Nigerians including elder statesmen and the Organised Labour like the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC).
