France superstar Kylian Mbappe has already told PSG he will leave to join Real Madrid but the deal is yet to be officially announced.

The long-running transfer story that has dominated headlines for some time is eventually going to come to a conclusion this summer when Mbappe signs with Real Madrid. Although a lucrative contract has already been signed by the France international, the transfer has not yet been formally disclosed. As soon as Real Madrid can no longer play PSG in the Champions League this season, the agreement will be made public, according to BBC Sport. For European supremacy, both sides are still in the running. After the first leg of their match, PSG leads Real Sociedad 2-0, while Los Blancos lead RB Leipzig 1-0 at this point in their round of 16.

Both clubs are in a strong position to qualify for the quarter-finals of the competition, raising the possibility that the official announcement could well be delayed. The draw for the quarter-finals and semi-finals is due to take place on March 15. This year’s final will be played at Wembley Stadium on May 24.

With just 20 games played so far this season for PSG, Mbappe has already scored 21 goals in Ligue 1. Only he and Mohamed Bamba (five goals in four games) have more goals than games this season in the French top tier.
