According to sources, the rumours of a two-year contract are more accurate, and Neymar doesn’t plan to stay at Al-Hilal for very long. The former playmaker of Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain will reportedly return to his roots at Santos in 2025, according to Brazilian journalist Ademir Quintino.

Quintino has said on his social media channels: “During conversations with friends of Neymar Senior and Neymar Junior, I received the information that they did not sign a four-year contract with the Saudis but rather a two-year contract so he can return (to Santos) a year before the World Cup. Neymar approached Santos and asked to return. I have friends in common with Neymar, whom I will not name, but he has a very strong desire to return to Santos.”

Neymar, who is currently Brazil’s all-time greatest scorer, has made just three outings for Al-Hilal thus far and has yet to score in those games. He has never hidden the fact that he wants to return to Santos at some point, with the intention of doing so a year before the 2026 World Cup championships in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
