Police – Drama As Boy With Funny Hairstyle Jumps Off Speeding Bike

There was mild drama by the Ajuwon police station, this morning when a youngster with funny hairstyle jumped off an Okada.

The incident happened at about 10:30am, and The Eagle’s findings was that the youth was trying to escape possible police arrest

The bike conveying him had just meandered past the Ajuwon police station from Akute, when the officers when some officers standing by sighted the bikeman and his passenger.

One of them began to yell on the bikeman to stop, but either by connivance or ignorance, he continued.

By this time, the officer, still yelling started approaching and the passenger, who was wearing funny hairstyle, and working on his handset,  just jumped off the Okada and began a foot race to escape,

The okada man, purporting a pursuit equally accelerated off.

Many people stopped to see what would come off the matter, but the youngster had ran a race of his life, disappearing into one of the adjoining streets on the left.

Other Okada riders, afraid to be made scape goats equally accelerated and left the scene.

While some people were grumbling about what may have become a nuisance on the part of the law enforcement officers, others concluded that it was the negative result of being carelessly dressed.

“These boys will never learn their lessons. What is tht essence of this kind of hairstyle he was wearing, and bad looking trousers? Those were what made the police to challenge him”, one of them said.

A bystander however bemoaned what he called unnecessary disturbance of motorists and commercial bikemen by the police.

Meanwhile, policemen from the same Ajuwon police station have continued to toll close to Martins bus stop in the Alagbole-Akute axis of the state.

A commercial motorcylst told our correspondent that the men had become both ruthless in the recent, especially to those who refuse to settle the N100 naira they routinely collect from commercial motorcyclists.

He said bikers who refuse to settle early were usually delayed sometimes for the rest of the day.

“I don’t want to let them use their own to spoil my work, and anytime they stop me, i jst settle them and go on my way. Sometimes, if you prove stubborn, they will just collect your key and ask you to wait. Sometimes, they will pack you together with defaulters in other crimes to their station”, he informed.

According to him, at their station they would just create the impression that you had just been arrested, even if you had spent hours of punishment with them at the illegal toll  point”, he explained.
