Now, This Will Teach Other Randy Fathers A Bitter Lesson

by Cami Ezenwa

This is another case set to teach randy fathers a bitter lesson how to hold their tentacles.

It is the story of a 46-year-old man, Imeh Sunday, who has now bagged a life sentence, for failure to discipline his third leg.

His sentencing happened last Wednesday, at Family Court 2 sitting in Calabar.

The court presided over by Justice Blessing Egwu, convicted and sentenced him to life imprisonment. He raped his daughter.

Reports say the prosecution tabled overwhelming evidence before Justice Egwu.

The case was prosecuted with the support of the Basic Rights Council Initiative (BRCI), a non-governmental organisation focused on protecting the rights of children and indigent women.

BRCI’s Principal Counsel of BRCI, Barrister James Ibor (Esq.), said the conviction was part of ongoing efforts to secure justice for survivors of sexual violence in the state.

“I wish to commend the survivor, her grandparents, the Honourable Attorney General, Ededem Charles Ani, the Commissioner of Police, the judiciary, as well as the staff and volunteers of BRCI for their commitment and support toward the survivor and her recovery,” he wrote.

The undertone was that Sunday’s conviction would now teach other randy men to hold their third leg tightly.
