‘I’m Gay’ Tweet – My Account Was Hacked, Says Iker Casillas

You must have read the ‘I’m gay post credited to Iker Casilla, but the Real Madrid and Spain legend claims he was hacked.

He has as a result also apologized to followers.  and apologises to followers after “I’m gay” tweet

He had earlier today made the headlines, reports Talksport, by tweeting that he was gay, but the latest is his refutal of the report.

According to him, his Twitter account was hacked

: “I hope you respect me: I’m gay.” Carlos Puyol responded to the tweet and said: “The time has come to tell our story, Iker”.

This was however followed by mixed reactions, his fans, on his side but with dissenting reception elsewhere.

There were later posts that it was a joke by the celebrated goalkeeper.

After receiving widespread support and appraisal for his social media statement, news began to emerge that Casillas was joking.

According to the Mirror, reports from Spain suggested that 41-year-old has grown fed up of recent speculation surrounding his dating life.

There were reactions that the post by Iker Casillas was a response to rumours that he’s now in a relationship with Alejandra Onieva – the ex-sister-in-law to Spanish TV host Tamara Falco.

This is coming a year and six months of him separating from the mother of his two children, sports journalist Sara Carbonero.
