A housewife has narrated to a court how her husband reacted after she caught him cheating with her younger sister.

Mukundinei Matsika narrated the experience at the Harare civil court where Patrick Mubetseri was seeking a peace order against her.

The woman told magistrate Sharon Mashavira that Mubetseri left their matrimonial home after she caught him cheating with her younger sister.

“Your worship, I am opposing his claim for a protection order because he ran away from home after I confronted him about why he was dating my younger sister,” Matsika said.

The matter took a different turn when Mubetseri gave his side of the matter

He said Matsika was a violent spouse, and accused her of harassing him at his workplace.

“She is coming to my workplace, threatening me and asking me to sleep with her in the company bus,” he said.

Mashavira granted Mubetseri his application for a peace order before ordering Matsika to stop visiting her ex-husband’s workplace.

In a related incident carried by the platform, a 70-Year-Old Guruve woman, Marry Chirasikwa had died after she allegedly ate poisonous African spider leaves (Nyevhe) she got from her nephew.

11 chickens which also ate the vomits died in th shocking incident which has been confirmed by Mashonaland Central deputy police spokesperson, Sergeant Major Samuel Chikasha.

“I can confirm a sudden death case in Guruve where a 71 year old woman died after eating Nyevhe,” Chikasha said.

Allegations are that the nephew Talent Marirahanda gave the poisonous flower leaves to his grandmother who prepared sadza and served it with the leaves.

The now deceased ate with her husband Luke Mugarwe (81) and the two started having stomach problems after the meal.

A passer-by saw the two writhing in pain and gave them fresh milk they both vomited excessively but Mugarwe survived while his wife died.

To prove the toxic of the leaves chickens which ate the vomits died instantly.
