Dollar to Naira Exchange Rate, Today 1st September, 2022

The black market Dollar to Naira exchange rate today, 1st of September, 2022 is stagnated at N700/$1, according to currency traders in Lagos and Bureau De Change.

The local currency remained unchanged in the parallel segment since the week’s commencement.

However, in the official Investors and Exporters Window (FMDQ), the Naira appreciated by 0.36 per cent against the American currency to close at N429.44/$1, as opposed to the N430.33/$1 it traded on Tuesday.

In the peer-to-peer segment, the Naira quickened and appreciated by N8.4 against its counterpart when compared to the same time it traded the previous day. P2P segment reveals Dollar is exchanged at N692.93, as against N701.33 The Eagle observed yesterday.

Meanwhile, in the official Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) foreign exchange rate Naira slumped by 0.26 per cent to be sold at N424.48/$1 as against N423.38/$1 The Eagle reported yesterday.

The update on the digital currencies are:

The biggest decliner was Binance Coin (BNB), which fell by 3.9% to trade at $277.72. Solana (SOL), which fell by 3.6% to retail at $31.28, and Ethereum (ETH), which fell by 3.4% to trade at $1,550.94, were the other two major decliners.

Dogecoin (DOGE) shed 3.3% of its value to close at $0.061, Cardano (ADA) fell 2.9% to close at $0.4468, Ripple (XRP) suffered a 2.2% fall to close at $0.3252, Bitcoin (BTC) dropped 1.6% of its value to conclude at $20,056.28, and Litecoin (LTC) fell 0.1% to close at $54.59 in value.
