As the peace meeting between the Board of Trustees, BoT and Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike ended in impasse on Tuesday, hopes of finding a long-lasting resolution to the turmoil roiling the Peoples Democratic Party were crushed.
The nearly four-hour private meeting in Government House, Port Harcourt, came to an end at around 4:35 pm, when the participants exited laughing and joking with the reporters.

They had an open conversation but came to no conclusions, according to Senator Adolphus Wabara, acting chairman of the PDP Board of Trustees, BoT.
He said, “We have not concluded. You know it is always easy to discuss. But to make peace takes sometime.
“We are better informed. We have gotten some new information. Every coin has two sides. In concrete terms, it is work in progress.”
