College Students Bully 17-Year-Old Classmate To Death
A group of college students who bullied their class mate, a 17-year-old Senior Secondary School student to death are now telling the police what informed their action.
The tragic incident was recorded today at Government Science and Technical College, Potiskum, in Potiskum Local Government Area Yobe State,.
There, 17-year-old Hassan Ahmadu suffered a tragic fate, died as a result of bullying involving fellow students.
A family source, said the 17-year-old Hassan was buried the same day in his hometown, Gadaka, in Fika Local Government Area of Yobe State.
The Yobe State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dungus Abdulkarim, who confirmed the incident said they had commenced an investigation.
“Yes, we are aware of the incident, and an investigation is currently ongoing to ascertain what led to the death of the student,” Abdulkarim said.
A teacher at the school, speaking To Punch on condition of anonymity, said Hassan had been bullied by other college students for some time.
“On Sunday, he asked them to stop, but they refused and attacked him. They beat him badly, and he later died. The whole school was shocked by what happened,” the teacher said.

He added, “After the attack, the school authorities handed over the students suspected to be involved to the police. The investigation is ongoing, and we hope the authorities will find out exactly what happened and hold those responsible accountable.”
When contacted, the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education in the state, Professor Abba Idriss Adam, could not immediately confirm the incident.
