Bullion CEO, Ajadi Urges Govt To Address Multiple Taxation, Other Real Sector Challenges

The Chief Executive Officer of Bullion Go-Neat Global Limited, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, has urged the government to address the multiple problems facing manufacturers in the country.

He made the appeal today at the 38th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Ogun State branch of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), held today, Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

Ajadi, who was represented at the AGM by General Manager, Mr Samuel Oluseyi Oguntade, cited the challenge of multiple taxation by different government agencies, both federal and state, saying it was adding to high cost of production, making things difficult for operators.
Other challenges he mentioned included difficulty in accessing foreign exchange as well as harassment by touts purporting to represent local government councils submitting that these were making it difficult for manufacturers to operate.

Ajadi therefore urged the concerned authorities to address them in the interest of growth in the economy.

The Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, commonly referred to as MAN, serves as a cornerstone for manufacturers, offering a platform to influence key economic decisions within the country.

Notably, the 38th Annual General Meeting garnered support from 22 sponsors, among them, Bullion Go-Neat Global Limited. This company has carved a prominent niche in the manufacturing sector, producing a range of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. Their flagship products, Coco Samba and Sea Don’s Schnapps have delighted consumers and significantly contributed to the market.

However, Mr. Oguntade highlighted a significant challenge faced by the manufacturing sector in 2022—foreign exchange issues, adding that difficulty in accessing forex affected the nation’s Gross Domestic Product. (GDP)
