This is breaking news on the remaining Benue kidnap victims who were abducted Wednesday night by criminal forces.
The Eagle recalls that gunmen had on Wednesday night intercepted the state owned transport vehicle, Benue Links and abducted some of the passengers.
The abductees included candidates of the ongoing Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination in Otukpo, a development that led to national outcry on the festering insecurity situation in the country.
The state’s Commissioner of Police, Ifeanyi Emenari, then informed that five of the victims had been rescued leaving 13 in kidnappers den.
The breaking news on the kidnap incident today however is that the remaining 13 passengers have been rescued.

Their rescue was facilitated by the efforts of a combined team of security operatives.
CP Emenari, who confirmed the development added that the rescued Benue kidnap victims would be brought to Makurdi anytime from now.
It is expected that details of the kidnap incident would be made known when the victims arrive kaduna.
