It is a landmark narrow escape for three men who were seized by kidnappers and taken to their den awaiting their fate.
The three men, a member of the Edo State Security Corps, Yusuf Kazim and two other victims, made good their escape by engaging their captors in a fierce battle.
They succeeded in disarming their kidnappers and fled.
Report says Kazim who operates in Edo North Senatorial District, was ambushed while driving into his residence at Aya-Iyamo in Etsako West Local Government Area.
“The gunmen abducted him at gunpoint and whisked him into a nearby forest.
“While in captivity, he met two other abductees, Caleb Yusuf, 25, and Himach Suleiman, who had been held after their families failed to meet ransom demands.

“In a turn of event, Kazim was said to have engaged the kidnappers in a struggle and disarmed them of an AK-47 rifle. The assailants fled the scene, abandoning their weapons.
“The ESSC operative, who reportedly sustained severe injuries during the encounter, however escaped alongside with the two other victims”, a source whose name was not given for obvious security reason, narrated.
