Bandits Invade Community At Midnight, Abduct Bride, Wedding Guests

There is no respite yet from bandits in Nigeria, as they have struck again, in Sokoto, whisking away, a bride, her bridesmaids and some wedding guests.

The attack at about midnight on Saturday, disrupted the wedding activities, leaving Chacho village, Wurno local government area of Sokoto State, and indeed neighbouring communities on edge.

Reports say the bandits fired sporadically before whisking away the bride her bridesmaids and some women who had rallied to support the wedding preparations.

It was not clear where they had whisked the bride ad wedding guests to as at the time of this report.

Also, the police has not issued a formal statement on the attack to provide right perspectives.
