Ambassador Ajadi Honours Alma Mater As It Commissions Adebutu Media Resource Centre

The gubernatorial candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Ogun State, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, was amongst distinguished Nigerians who graced the commissioning of a media resource centre at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ) Ogba Lagos yesterday.
The 350-seat Kesington Adebutu Media Resource Centre/Auditorium was a philanthropic gesture from one of Nigeria’s leading entrepreneurs, and philanthropist, and is set to help advance the course of journalism training and practice in the country.
Ajadi who is also an alumnus of the institution, came in a powerful delegation of NNPP stalwarts and stayed through the ceremony.
He told our correspondent that he had to shelve every other engagement to join other prominent Nigerians in the epoch-making event, and praised the efforts of the NIJ in producing quality manpower for integrated media practice in Nigeria and abroad.
The politician cum industrialist said the active engagement of NIJ products across the media spectrum, has remained a testament of the robust curriculum and impactful delivery in the school.

Ambassador Ajadi also lavished appreciation on Dr Adebutu for leaving large and positive footprints in different sectors of the Nigerian society, adding that posterity would remember him for good.

“I would also like to use this occasion to urge the young ones in the school to seek to make the best use of the media resource centre and indeed all other facilities available in the school.
“Passing through NIJ, I have been quite impressed by the dedication of its workers, most especially the academic staff, in moulding their students and equipping them for all aspects of media practice. I sincerely appreciate the school and urge it to continue in the good works”, Ambassador Ajadi stated.
Earlier in the programme, Chairman of the NIJ Governing Council and former governor of Ogun State, Chief Aremo Olusegun Osoba, went down memory recalling how the day’s project came about.
He praised Dr. Kensington Adebutu, for is large heartedness, especially in shelving an earlier resolve to undertake to build the resource centre.
