“I Had An Intention When I Invited Her, But When I Saw Her, I Didn’t Like Her Again’
Those were part of the confessions by of a young man, nabbed for attempting to kill his girlfriend:
“We met on TikTok and we’re chatting for about three days
She is from Ebonyi State and I told her to come see me at Anambra.
She first said she was not coming but later agreed to come.
She asked me what I do and I told her I am a trader.
She told me she is a three hundred level student.
She said she had a quiz to attempt and that after that, she would come to see me. But that I would look for money for her when she would be returning, I said, no problem .
After her quiz she said her transport money was not complete, that I would give her money, I said, no problem.
So I asked her how much the transport she said she didn’t know that it may be N15K,000 or N10,000.

I sent her transport fare around 11am.
When I sent her the N15K,000, she said she would come.
She started coming around 1.30pm and got to Umunze around 10pm. Later she joined vehicle Ekwulobia, and the vehicle wasted some time.
I had an intention when I was invited her, but when I saw her, I didn’t like her again.
In my mind I was saying, is this what I wasted my time inviting over?
I now decided that I would just take her somewhere, and just take her phone.
So I took her from Umunze through Ogbunka down to umuchukwu
I stopped on the road, and told hercro follow inside the bush.
She was resisting, I pushed her inside. I asked her to hand over her phone, she resisted, then we started dragging it.
That was how I started beating her.
I didn’t want to kill her I beat her, collected the phone and left.
I was heading back to Ogbunka and when I got to federal Umunze at about after 11pm to 12midnigjt , I stopped.to check time but when I checked my pocket, I didn’t see my phone, checked the dashboard and didn’t find the phone.
1tirned back to Umuchukwu road, and entered the bush where we had a struggle and saw her properties, I took all.
I was driving down back slowly trying to see if I could locate the phone.
That was when I saw flashlight from security men. That was how I started escaping before I met two men.
