Transfer Live: Barcelona Set To Reward Dembele With Extension Talks Amid PSG Speculation
Barcelona intends to begin contract negotiations with the in-form Ousmane Dembele next month, effectively ruling out a reported trade to PSG.
According to SPORT, Barcelona intends to speak with Dembele about a new contract once the transfer market closes and anticipates the discussions to go pretty well.

Paris Saint-Germain is disappointed because they were apparently hoping to sign the French international.
Dembele’s contract ends at the conclusion of the 2024 season and reportedly has a €50 million (£44 million/$54 million) release clause.
The player has made it apparent that he is content at Barcelona, and he has proven it with a run of impressive performances.
A year ago, Dembele faced jeers from Barca supporters, but manager Xavi stood by the youngster and promised that he will rediscover his form. And Xavi was accurate.
Since the beginning of 2022, Dembele has scored 28 goals and provided 28 assists, including two game-winning goals against Real Sociedad in the Copa del Rey. La Liga’s financial rules may constrain Barca, but they can still reach fresh agreements.
Xavi praised his player after a standout showing Wednesday night: “I think Dembele has matured a lot since we took over. We have just given him the tools. He is lethal.
“We always say when he comes inside, he has to shoot more because he has that quality and he can make the difference in games.”
The winger is now a surefire starter for Xavi’s squad and is expected to play a significant role as they compete for La Liga and Copa del Rey championships.
