If Only He Had Picked His Call, He Probably Would Have Averted The Suicide, but….

There is obviously a wisdom in picking one’s call, no matter what, as that may turn out, the only lifeline for a dear one out there.

Abel Mutua probably did not reckon with this reality, or perhaps allowed the flow of activities distract him, and now, is biting the fingers of regret.

A few minutes delay in responding to the distress call of , Polycarp Amyunzu , one of his ardent fans has led to a disastrous consequence, the latter’s death by suicide, reports Nairobi Times.

“Our fears have been confirmed. Polycarp is no more. We really tried our best. I guess our best wasn’t enough. Rest well Bruh,” .

“It was on 26th September we were having meetings with his wife. The meeting took some time, we left at around 3:00 pm having started it at around past midday.

Around 2:00 pm our job’s phone (the one we use for merchandise) was ringing so much. We suspected it was someone who had received their merchandise but found it was faulty.”

“After the meeting, while we were driving home, we called back to help this customer. We found at least six to seven missed calls.”

The guy, on the other hand, (apparently Polycarp) responded saying, “You’ve called a little too late. It is too late I have already made up my mind. I don’t think this world is for me anymore.

“I have done some terrible things, I don’t know how to live anymore. I have no clue of how to go about life anymore.”

As it turned out, life had been terribly hard for him and his family in the midst of his wife being pregnant and due, and he was not able to provide.

Although Abel tried persuading his friend to hand on for him to help out, it seemed it had fallen on deaf ears.

By the time, Polycarp was off the Karen bypass and has gone somewhere in a forest having walked a few meters, scouting for a good position to hang himself.

Further efforts by Polycarp to dissuade his fan met a brick-wall, the line was no longer going.

Even his efforts at contacting the police also failed. Polycarp had hung himself.

It was later revealed that the man had some wrangling with his wife, a distraught Abel recalled.

The actor is now urging people, never to take such extreme measures, no matter the situation the may find themselves.

“Times are hard but I believe there are solutions. It is not a must we commit suicide. Most of the time solutions are not amongst your closest people but strangers. So, if you feel, you’ve hit the end of the road, call me,” Abel urged his fans.
