See Luckiest Nigerian Ever, Just Emerged N150m Prize Winner

BY CAMI EZENWA
Imagine what it means to have your accounts swell with just N10m worth of prize money in this season of lockdown and raging virus.
But there is someone who had just carted home more than ten times that, going home with a whopping N150m.
He is no other than upcoming performer Charles Akinloye, popularly known as ‘Loven’
What won him that? – His unique voice and singing technique of infusing a bit of fuji to his performances at the maiden edition of Access The Stars just concluded.
Before emerging tops, Loven went through a series of exciting regional auditions, rigorous training at Bootcamp and the suspense-filled judges’ stage shows,
The announcement was made at the shows, first of its kind, e-Finale on April 11, 2020.
The first and second runners up, ‘Kitay’ and ‘Firefly’, were also awarded consolation prizes.
The biggest winner, apart from his keen interest in music, is also a makeup artist and a stylist, a multi-talented and prolific singer and songwriter.
He is a recording artist who has a couple of tracks to his credit; one of which is “ADUNNI” a love song where he displays his commendable songwriting prowess.
The grand finale kicked off with a live pre-show party on Instagram Live which featured hits by DJ Spinall as he entertained the audience in anticipation of the live finale on YouTube.
It was an epic final and featured epic performances from the top finishers and was later wrapped up with an after-party on Instagram Live hosted by DJ Cuppy. IF there was any moral in the competition, it is to say that exceptional performance will always have its day, such that would extinguish all the energy and excruciating time invested in preparing.
Excellence therefore resonates with the competition in the area of music.
For one, it provides a launching pad to greater platforms amongst other things. The organisers say the project’s aim is to give budding young talents a chance to perform alongside some of the biggest music stars in the country and it fulfilled that promise
Imagine for a moment once again, what N10m will do to you just now, much less the total package that Loven has carted home.
