188 Year Old Man Rescued From Cave: The Truth Revealed

The story of a 188-year-old man rescued from a cave is making social media rounds, stirring both emotions and controversy.

The story shared via video on social media, is that of a Hindu saint known as Siyaram Baba, who resides in Madhya Pradesh.

The post was shared by the account Concerned Citizen, which suggested that the elderly man was discovered in a cave in India and is 188 years.

In the video, the man is seen walking with assistance from two individuals. The account claimed, “This Indian man has just been found in a cave. It’s alleged he’s 188 years old. Insane.”

According to D-intent Data, whereas multiple sources have confirmed the man rescued from cave is a Hindu saint known as Siyaram Baba, and who resides in Madhya Pradesh, there is however a controversy around his age.

It has been clarified that Siyaram Baba is approximately 110 years old, not 188 as earlier reported.

D-intent Data, which is a data verification group, has thus labelled the claims of 188 years as wrong stating instead that the man is 110 years old.

They stated, “ANALYSIS: Misleading. FACT: A video of some people helping an elderly individual has been shared, claiming that a 188-year-old Indian man has just been found in a cave.”

Some reports state the video story was later admitted to be an exaggeration, commenting: “I’m embarrassed I even wrote 188. Anything over 120 would have been ridiculous.”

Even social media sharing platform X, initially known as Twitter, has also put up a disclaimer to the post, stating, “Misinformation!
