Woman Found Dead 10 Months After Marriage To The Holy Spirit

It’s about 10 months now that Elizabeth Nalem, caused a stir in town, performing a controversial marriage rites with the Holy Ghost, but now, she has been found dead in a forest.

The mother of six hailed from Makutano town, in Kenya’s West Pokot County,

Residents of Makutano town had thronged a church to witness her big day dozens cheering with ululations and dance as Nalem walked down the aisle.

She was dressed in an endearing white wedding gown and accompanied by friends and faithful as she made her grand entrance, reports the Zambian Sun.

She had told reporters afterwards that God told her to travel the world spreading the gospel

Her reported death has put paid to all that, as Nalem’s decomposing body had been found in the forest, police say.

A week before the shocking discovery, Nalem had reportedly left her home a panga and a walking stick headed to the forest, and police suspects that she might have been attacked by a wild animal.

A report by the newspaper quotes Kapenguria OCPD Kipkemoi Kirui saying the body must have been in the bush for more than a week.

There were reports of Nalem last year, traveling to Amudat District in Uganda allegedly for her honeymoon and to serve her God.

The deceased said she started walking from Makutano after her wedding and was directed to visit Uganda for a crusade while on her honeymoon.

“I talked to my husband and told him to take care of my children. I am being guided by the Holy Spirit. When he tells me to go back home, I will but right now he hasn’t,” she said.

Nalem was also quoted as saying she had closed her eatery, disowned her husband and won’t go back to her town council officer job until she accomplished her mission.

“God has shown (sic) me to travel to the United States when am done with Uganda. He told me to traverse the world but I told him I won’t be able and requested him to recruit other members to help me in spreading the gospel,” she said.

She added that her husband had pleaded with her to go back home but she had refused until her newly ‘wedded’ Spirit husband granted her permission.

“God knows how my children will eat I have left them in God’s hands,” she was quoted as saying.
