What We Foresee In The Next One Year -Muhammed Idris Malagi

Do you know what Mr Muhammed Idris Malagi or his master, President Bola Tinubu foresee for Nigeria in the next one year?

He has come forward to state it, In the midst of the great suffering in the country.

This was today, at the 5oth anniversary celebration of Punch newspapers with the theme: ‘Recovering the Narrative

The programme was also graced by Nobel laureate, Prof Wole Soyinka, and Muhammed Idris Malagi, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, stood in for President Tinubu

Before stating what he and the president foresee for Nigeria in the next one year, he stated: “Punch has been here for 50 years, and what that tells you is that it’s a story of resilience, trust, hard work, and commitment to the Nigeria project. These are the exact virtues President Bola Tinubu upholds”.

From there, the Honourable Minister latched into the general suffering in the country saying: “All these things happening are for the good of the country, and the economy is going to bounce back.

“We foresee a situation where, in another year, this country is going to get better. Let’s talk about the good things happening in this country, it’s not bad news all the time.

“The National Bureau of Statistics said we are improving by about 66 percent.

“Our fuel consumption has gone down by about a billion liters. These challenges will continue to exist, but the important thing is that the government will always take proactive measures to ensure that the challenges disappear. Very soon, we are going to have a major policy shift in the petroleum sector.

“The NLC has complained about hardship in the land, but we are happy that 24 hours later they also found it necessary to suspend that action. The 15-point demand NLC made for most of them is being met.”

Thus, he and the president, foresee a better Nigeria in the nearest future.
