As he mulls over what to do next, Mourinho has decided to head for Barcelona. Club legend Xavi is seeing questions asked of his future at Camp Nou, with the reigning La Liga champions struggling for consistency in 2023-24.

Mourinho, who spent three years at Real Madrid between 2010 and 2013, could be considered for a role at Barcelona were one to open up. However, he has been caught on camera laughing off any suggestion that he could take the Blaugrana’s reins. Mourinho previously worked alongside the likes of Sir Bobby Robson and Louis van Gaal in Catalunya.
