Thiago Alcantara, a midfielder for Liverpool, looked good during shooting drills during training as he gets closer to making a comeback from a serious injury.

The 2023–23 season ended early for the Spanish midfielder in April after he was recommended to have surgery to remove a recurrent hip issue. Although Alcantara had not played since then, he had resumed training prior to Chelsea’s match on January 31 and has been progressively increasing the intensity to hasten his comeback.

During multiple drills, Alcantara was observed heading for the goal, and he succeeded in every effort. He was supposed to make a comeback during the first part of the 2023–24 season, but his recuperation period was extended due to a few setbacks in his recovery regimen.

The midfield player may not be ready for Liverpool’s encounter against Arsenal on Sunday, but it is anticipated that he will be included in the matchday squad when Liverpool plays Burnley on February 10.
