Victor Osimhen’s Next Club: Power Ranking Favourite Transfer Destination
The race to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli still seems to be in Manchester United’s favour.
The future of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, who is apparently being courted by some of the greatest teams in the world, is expected to be one of the biggest talking points of the summer transfer window.

He’s having a fantastic season at Napoli, who are currently leading Serie A by a margin of 15 points. Osimhen, meanwhile, is comfortably in the lead in the scoring charts after a season that set a record for goals scored.
There will undoubtedly be some staggering offers for his services this summer, but who are the front-runners to guarantee his future?
Bayern Munich
Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, 33, is never going to be a long-term option for Bayern, despite the fantastic season he is having in Germany and the new contract he has been given.
Osimhen, who is 6’1″, may be the next star the German giants need to lead the line.
He’s actually played in Germany before—with Wolfsburg—and might be the next great attraction at FC Hollywood.
Tottenham Hotspur
Spurs have been mentioned as potential destinations for the in-form frontman, despite the fact that the rumors have subsided in recent months. Spurs are considered outsiders for Osimhen’s signature.
Osimhen might be the perfect long-term replacement for the Lilywhites’ talisman. Tottenham must begin thinking about a post-Harry Kane succession plan, especially if the England superstar pushes for an exit again at the end of this season.
Manchester City
The purchase of Erling Haaland last summer should, in theory, protect the forward line for Manchester City for the most of the upcoming ten years.
It’s difficult to understand why City would need to pair both players together when Haaland, like Osimhen, is having a remarkable goalscoring season. He currently leads the Premier League’s Golden Boot race with a whopping 27 goals.
Then again, that would be a completely explosive—and lethal—front two!
Arsenal
Nwankwo Kanu, a legendary Nigerian striker, has already played for Arsenal, but might Osimhen be the next in line at the Emirates Stadium?
With the popularity of the Gunners in Nigeria, it would be a strong partnership, and the thought of Osimhen facing up against players like Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka, and Martin Odegaard would be genuinely terrifying for the Londoners’ rivals.
Paris Saint-Germain
What better way for PSG to boost their hopes of securing a maiden Champions League title than be signing one of Europe’s leading frontmen?
They are unsure of the firepower of Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Kylian Mbappe, but Osimhen would serve as a true focal point for the attack and potentially bring out even more from the team’s three already-talented superstars.
Osimhen, who left LOSC Lille to join Napoli, scored 13 goals in 27 Ligue 1 appearances in his lone season in France.
Chelsea
Chelsea’s attempt to rehabilitate Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has failed, and the Blues are still using Kai Havertz as a fill-in striker despite being one of several giants short of a true main center-forward.
It’s not a long-term solution, and while Osimhen may be a devastating answer…would he be ready to risk the Chelsea strikers curse?
Like Arsenal, the Blues have a tremendous support in Nigeria, and Super Eagles fans would be frenzied should Osimhen follow in John Obi Mikel’s footsteps and transfer to Stamford Bridge.
Manchester United
United signed Wout Weghorst on loan in January to try to address their persistent striker problems, but the Dutch international was only ever going to be a temporary fix. United are still considered the favorites to sign Osimhen.
Erik ten Hag must be salivating at the thought of adding the Nigerian to the team he is shaping at Old Trafford. Osimhen could be the striking superstar and true goalscorer that United have been waiting for.
