This Is Unbelievable – A Man Has Buried His Own Grandchild Alive

It is truly unbelievable but a man has reportedly buried his own 17 year old granddaughter’s child alive, a case that had stirred the entire community with fear and aware.

Police Command there has already swooped into action, arresting him for possible homicide charges.

The suspect is 50-year old Bawada Audu, of  Rimin Ziyam village in Toro Local Government Area of Bauchi State, who had issues with the relationship history of his daughter, Hafsat Bawada’s newborn baby.

Audu, reportedly buried the male child behind his house following the disappearance of one Danjuma Malam Uba, who was suspected to have impregnated Hafsat, and who gave birth on September 14.

Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ahmed Wakili, who issued a statement concerning the case, said a joint operation between the police and human right organizations, who accompanied Hafsat to the  Divisional Headquarters Toro .

According to him, the lady had gone there to report what she considered her fathers unbecoming attitude before the team upon investigation, discovered and exhumed the corpse.

They had subsequently rushed the baby to the hospital in the hope that he could be revived, but he was confirmed dead on arrival.

”On 16/09/2020 at about 1000hrs, a joint operation between the police and human right have brought one Hafsat Bawada ‘f’ aged 17yrs of Rimin Zayam Toro L.G.A Bauchi to Divisional Headquarters Toro who was alleged to have given birth to a male child on 14/09/2020 at about 0200hrs.

“Her father Bawada Audu ‘m’ 50yrs of same address seized the child and buried the Baby behind his house.

“Upon receipt of the report corpse was exhumed and baby was rushed to General Hospital where he was certified dead by the medical doctor.

“Moreover, Hafsat pointed one Danjuma Malam Uba ‘m’ of the same address to have “had carnal knowledge of her” sometime early 2020 now at large.

“Thus, the corpse was released to the village head of Rimin Ziyam for burial. The suspect was arrested and he confessed to the crime”, the police statement on the matter read.
