Se#ual Harassment Allegation: Court Fines Senator Natasha N5m

The se#ual harassment allegation by Kogi Central lawmaker, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, against Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has eventually backfired.
This is because the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, today, found the suspended lawmaker guilty of contempt, and thus fined her N5million.
In a ruling delivered by Justice Binta Nyako, the court noted that the embattled lawmaker went against its order by publishing a satirical apology to the Senator President, Godswill Akpabio, over the se#ual harassment allegation
The high court said Senator Natasha’s apology, which she published on her Facebook page on April 7, made a mockery of a gag order that was placed on the parties by the court

It instead ordered Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan to publish an apology to it in two national dailies and also on her Facebook page, within 7 days.
According to the court, the senator’s contempt was in a civil proceeding, and also refused to issue any order in his favour.
