Second Edition of Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo Annual Ramadan Lecture: Promoting Contentment And Mercy

On April 6th, 2024, the tranquil grounds of Bullion Park in Torotoro, Ibafo, Ogun State, played host to the second edition of the esteemed Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo Annual Ramadan Lecture.

Chief Tafseer of Ilorin Emirate, Sheikh Usman Sannu Sheu, graced the occasion as the guest lecturer, delivering a profound discourse on the theme: “Submit Yourself for Who God Has Shown Mercy to.”

In his enlightening address, Sheikh Usman Sannu Sheu emphasized the significance of contentment with one’s destiny, asserting, “Having contentment with what God has endowed with an individual’s destiny as human beings is the only way to attain God’s hidden mercy without much stress.” He further admonished against coveting ill-gotten wealth, stating unequivocally that an individual’s portion of mercy on earth is determined by divine decree, not by disparaging the blessed.

Extending prayers of gratitude and blessings, Sheikh Usman Sannu Sheu invoked divine favor upon Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo and his associates, saying, “Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo is blessed, may Almighty Allah reward him with his friends more with the grace of the month of Ramadan.”

In his remarks, Ambassador Ajadi expressed profound gratitude for the successful organization of the second edition of the Ramadan lecture, remarking, “I am very happy for witnessing the second edition of my yearly Ramadan lecture.” He reiterated the essence of the event, highlighting the imperative of extending assistance to the vulnerable as a fundamental aspect of fulfilling the divine purpose of fasting during Ramadan.

The event was graced by notable personalities including Alhaji Ademola A.J Otolowo, a UK-based music promotion executive; the Southwest Public Relations Officer for the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Comrade Kilamuwaye Badmus; Head of Marketing Manager of Bullion Records, Awoeyo Olugbenga Olaitan; NNPP senatorial candidate for Ogun Central, Hon. Omokehinde Teluwo; and NNPP Ogun State PRO, Comrade Omokehinde Olayemi Olowu.

Adding to the ambience of the occasion were renowned Islamic singers such as Alhaji Abdul Lateef Oriyomi Omokehinde, celebrated for his versatile talents, and Alhaja Modinat Ashabi, popularly known as “Barrytide,” whose performances elevated the event to a memorable experience.

The second edition of the Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo Annual Ramadan Lecture not only fostered spiritual enlightenment but also embodied the spirit of compassion and generosity synonymous with the holy month, serving as a beacon of hope and unity within the community.
