Mbappe Fires Warning To Barcelona Ahead of UCL Clash

Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe has sent a warning to Barcelona ahead of their Champions League match.

Mbappe has historically been a pain in Barcelona’s side, having previously defeated the Catalan team in the Champions League with a hat-trick. In 2021, during Lionel Messi’s final season with the team, Mbappe single-handedly helped the Parisians win the first leg 4-1 at home, virtually eliminating the Blaugrana. As their midweek match draws near, he has now issued Xavi Hernandez’s team with yet another warning.

Talking to Telefoot, Mbappe said [via Marca]: “I am ready and, as always, I am not going to hide. Seeing the dynamic we have, I’m sure we’re going to give it our all, then the result… It’s in God’s hands.”

He also talked about the season being at a crucial point: “Like every year, we enter the crucial period of the season. At the end of April, we will already have elements to know what kind of season we will be able to have.”

Mbappe and PSG boss Luis Enrique have had a public falling out in recent months due to the Frenchman’s refusal to commit to the Parisians for the long term. Mbappe has been benched or replaced several times in the last two months, and Enrique hinted that he would experience the same fate against his old team, Barcelona. As a free agent, Mbappe is reportedly close to joining Real Madrid, a fierce rival of Barcelona.

Kylian will be all geared up to show Real Madrid exactly how well he can perform against Barcelona when they take on PSG on Wednesday, April 10 at the Parc des Princes before heading away to Barcelona on Tuesday, April 16.
