Revealed: Lionel Messi’s Plans From Christmas Break In Argentina 

Lionel Messi is spending Christmas in his home country of Argentina, where he has a wedding and a meeting scheduled with Lionel Scaloni.

The eight-time Ballon d’Or champion Messi is currently taking advantage of a well-earned vacation during the American offseason after joining MLS team Inter Miami in the summer of 2023. He has headed home as a result, with a private jet taking the Argentine icon, his wife Antonela and their three children back to South America from Florida.

According to Marca, Messi has a busy schedule lined up for his stint in Argentina. First on the agenda is the wedding of Carla Roccuzzo – Antonela’s younger sister, who was one of the bridesmaids when Messi tied the knot in Rosario back in June 2017.

Also, it is said that Leo would meet with Scaloni, the coach of the national team. They savoured World Cup success together at Qatar 2022 and have important matters to discuss as questions are asked of their respective futures in international football – with Messi yet to decide whether he will compete at the 2026 World Cup.

The player plans to return to the United States in the New Year, just in time for the commencement of pre-season training. Numerous friendly matches between Inter Miami and Messi’s former team, Newell’s Old Boys, and his longtime nemesis, Cristiano Ronaldo, who is currently playing for Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia, are scheduled. Messi is keen to win more significant awards in 2024, having previously relished his League Cup triumph in the United States.
