Real Estate Developer’s Death: State Govt Gives Police Marching Orders

A state government has given marching orders to Nigeria security agencies over the circumstances of death of a real estate developer.

It was a sad scene on Friday when gun men broke into the store of Benin-based real estate developer, 42 year old Joel Isibor at Second Ugbor, Benin and shot him dead.

Now, the Edo State government has urged security agencies to fish out Isibor’s killers.

Edo State Deputy Governor, Dennis Idahosa, who spoke during a visit to the family of the late businessman said Governor Monday Okpebholo was deeply saddened by the incident.

He promised that the state government would do all that is necessary to bring the perpetrators of the act to justice.

Idahosa said the state government would synergise with security agencies to launch a high-scale investigation into the matter, and warned criminal elements to relocate from Edo State.

“This is a sad occurrence and we call on the security agencies to arrest and bring the killers to justice. We will give them the support to ensure that they accomplish this task”, he stated.

The widow of the late businessman, Blessing appreciated the state government for promptly coming to commiserate with the family, giving details on the attack.

According to her, the incident happened at the close of work, and the assailant laid ambush while the real estate developer was trying to lock the shop.

Expressing her deep feeling of loss, she said the late Isibor was the breadwinner of the family and appealed to the state government to thoroughly investigate the killing.
