The Oyo State Government early on Sunday morning stormed the Music House belonging to artiste, Yinka Ayefele and which accommodates Fresh FM, Ibadan, a private radio station, went into action as threatened.

Government bulldozers arrived the Challenge area of Ibadan while a lot of people were getting ready for church at their different worship centres, and pulled it down.

It had, last Wednesday explained that the demolition notice was not based on sentiment or witch-hunting.

The station, through its Director of Corporate Affairs and Promotions, Mr. David Ajiboye, had yesterday raised an alarm that the owner of the building which houses the radio station has been given a three-day notice to vacate the building and remove the structure or risk its removal by the government.

Ruling out sentiments, it said contravention notices have been given and served to different organisations in the state since June 14, 2017 including all radio stations in the state, added that the decision to demand for approval plan was not peculiar to the radio station.
