Outrage As Man Drives Wife, Triplets To The Streets Despite COVID

BY IBRAHIM KEGBEGBE
There is outrage in the Ikorodu area of Lagos over a woman and her newly born triplets sighted on the open streets begging for alms.
The irony is that the father of the bundles of blessings, the woman alleges, fled immediately after their birth, leaving the distraught mother and her children in the lurch.
The woman told The Eagle correspondent who raced to the spot with others, that she had no option than to come to well-meaning Nigerians on the streets.
The incident happened at Agric Bus stop, with the woman whose name our correspondent could not immediately obtain, saying that the responsibility for the newborns was beyond her financial capacity.
However, a sympathizer Mrs. Folahan Olawale expressed unhappiness with way the woman had exposed the children irrespective of whatever the father would have done.

On the streets, despite COVID
She wondered how the woman want the children to cope in the open space when the government had ordered people to be indoors for Covid 19. She said that women should stop having babies for irresponsible husbands.
She said,”There is nothing like God will take care of the children. God will never come down to provide the basic needs for the children.”
Mr. Emmanuel Egunjobi said the lives of the children are in danger, adding that the immune system of each of the children was still light and their body could easily be infected.
“Until we hear from the husband’s side before we can judge. The woman may not be saying the truth of the story. I pray that may God send helper to her,” he said.
