My comments about 2019 election, an opinion, not a prophecy –Pastor Adeboye
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has said that his comments about the possibility of next year’s election not holding was not a prophecy, but a personal opinion.
He said this in the course of his church’s popular programme, the Holy Ghost Congress which held in the church auditorium on Friday.
The respected man of God with a large following said his comments followed a question by a bishop requesting to know who was likely to win the upcoming presidential polls.
Pastor said instead of seeking who would win, that it is important that the killings going on in the country stop, as the election may not hold because people would not be willing to come out and vote.
According to him, the killings must stop if the country would survive.
Adeboye who ministered during this month’s edition of the programme, with the theme: Greater Than Your Enemies.called on the congregation to join him in praying for the country to be rid of the onslaught of killings of hundreds of Nigerians in recent times.
He made clear the point that the view concerning the election were his personal opinion and never a prophecy.
