Leading Nigerian singer, Peter Okoye of the former Psquare, also known as Mr P has created a platform on his Instagram page, he calls Zoom, alongside a group of other people.
According to the superstar, his main aim of creating the account is to change people’s lifestyles, in terms of assisting them solve some of their financial challenges, thereby making life a little better for them.
The zoom project has become the talk in many quarters, especially on social media where the buzz has hit the roof tops.
It has proven the artiste as rare and humanitarian in nature.
Peter told our correspondent backstage last December 28, during the One Lagos fiesta at Eko Atlantic, that the scheme would be officially launched this year.
When asked what the zooming was all about, the entertainer said he just decided to show his over five million followers what it looks like, by selecting randomly and crediting their accounts known as zooming in his terms.
“I love it. I will do a lot of charity next year. I think God has really blessed me to a point where if I don’t extend that blessing, God is going to punish me”, he said.
Those following him on Instagram, could testify to this rare gesture to humanity by this artiste of high repute, which Peter exhibited for almost a week during the festive period.
It even got to a point where his transaction limit was exceeded and on a particular day, the large-heart musician complained of his thumbs hurting, having literally spent all day, crediting series of accounts in fulfilment of his resolve to reach out.
The Eagle investigations show that Mr P, actually fulfilled his promise of extending his kind gesture by going on the street with packages and money for the less-privileged, physically challenged and many more actually in need of help.
He was to write on his instagram page later: “So early in the day, I called my team, that I was planning a get together…and this was it. Felt so good! We decided to zoom it to the street. #ZOOM #ZOOM #ZOOM #ZOOM”.
