Man Utd Loanee Mason Greenwood Wanted By Two Top La Liga Clubs

Mason Greenwood, a Manchester United loanee, is reportedly drawing interest from two elite La Liga teams for a transfer after making a good impression at Getafe.

The 22-year-old forward is reportedly being watched by Valencia and Real Sociedad, who are considering making a bid during the summer transfer window, according to The Sun. The report also states that a potential return to Old Trafford is “highly unlikely” as Greenwood’s loan agreement with Getafe is set to expire at the end of the current campaign.

Greenwood moved to La Liga with Getafe this summer and has recaptured some of his finest form since arriving in Spain, with four goals across his 11 starts so far. His finest goal arrived in his most recent outing, as he netted a sensational equaliser against Almeria on the way to a 2-1 win for Getafe, who now sit in eighth place across the top flight of Spanish football.

Greenwood may not have much longer at Manchester United, who allowed him to go on loan following the conclusion of a six-month probe into his behaviour off the pitch, but he may still be able to play in the Premier League the following summer. Getafe’s forward has apparently been scouted by many top-tier English teams, and if he continues to play at this level, a bidding battle may be in store.

For now, Greenwood will focus on continuing to produce like he has been, and when that time comes, he will cross the bridge to his future. On Friday night, Getafe takes on Las Palmas in their next game as they attempt to move up into the top six in La Liga.
