A 19 year old man has landed himself in trouble for disguising like a woman; he is now a guest of the police for the action.
The Adamawa State Police Command spokesman, SP Suleiman Ngoruje, confirmed the arrest of 19-year-old Mohammed Umar in a statement on Wednesday.
The resident of Abuja Road, Yola South Local Government Area, the man was accused of dressing and disguising as a woman, and loitering the premises of the Ngurore Lutheran Church of Christ.
“The arrest follows a report by a resident (name withheld) to the Ngurore Divisional Police Headquarters, after observing the suspect’s movement within the premises of the church”, the police statement said.

It added that the Commissioner of Police Adamawa State, Dankombo Morris, has directed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Yola, for discreet and full-scale investigation.
“The command remains committed to ensuring public safety, and public order and encourages residents to keep vigilant and give timely reports of suspicious movement to the police,” it stated.
