Man Brutally Ends Life Of Young Lady Preparing For NECO Exams

It is a clear case of aborted destiny as the life of a young lady preparing for the National Examinations Council (NECO) examinations has been caught short.

The deed was done by a young man whose full details were not yet known, but who apparently had been stalking the lady, a Point of Service (POS) operator.

And he actually took to his heals intending to escape before he was pursued and apprehended by an angry mob, incensed by what he had done to the NECO exams prospect.

The incident happened on Monday in the Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba State, police sources have said ,and the mob upon catching up with the man did not waste time in administering jungle justice by fire.

Chairman of Wukari LGA, Ismaila Dauda, who confirmed the incident to journalists added that:

“It is true one young man stabbed a POS operator to death on Monday, June 17.

“He was pursued, caught, and lynched by a mob. It is a sad incident because the POS operator, who was an 18-year-old girl, was preparing to write her NECO exams before her untimely death.”

The spokesperson of the State Police Command, DSP Gambo Kwache, also confirmed the incident/

The suspect reportedly pretended as a customer, but intended stealing the POS operator’s money, and thus stabbed her on the neck.

However, things would have taken another turn, but for the prompt arrival of military men, who have also called for calm assuring that they were investigating the incident, the report added.

“Wukari is calm for now, there’s no problem, people are going about with their normal businesses”, they have assured.

The Eagle reports that POS operators are vulnerable especially in situations where they had to work late.
