A man identified as Ben Aperi had the beating of his life recently after he was nabbed allegedly defiling a seven old girl named Sandra.
The incident happened at No ,7 Luma Olalupo Street off Ipaja Road in the Alimosho Local Govt. Area of Lagos State. Aperi would have got away with his act but for the alertness of some youths in the area.
The angry youths descended on Aperi and beat him him to a pulp.
It took the timely intervention of the street chairman, Mr Dennison Roberts torescue him from the grip of the youths.
Confirming the incident, a woman who simply identified herself as Mrs. Osahon, and Aperi’s neighbor, said she heard someone screaming in Aperi’s room and rushed to find out what the problem was only for her to see Sandra in the pool of her blood.
She said she raised the alarm, attracting other neigbours.
Investigation by The Eagle Correspondent, shows that Mr. Aperi had since been arrested and referred to the Gender Unit of Ipaja Police Station.
Meanwhile, Sandra is receiving treatment at a nearby clinic, the medical doctor, Mr. Jacobs described the act as unfortunate and advised parents to ensure the safety of their wards at all times as rapists were now everywhere.
