Men of the Nigeria Police Force have arrested 12 guards in connection with an alleged theft at the Kainji Power Plant.
The arrest was effected by operatives of the Niger State Police Command and concerns theft of materials about N4.8bn.
The suspects allegedly vandalised and stole navigation lock metals belonging to the power Plant.
The Command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Wasiu Abiodun, said an inspection conducted in the navigation lock yard of Kainji Power Plant at Kaya junction, discovered that items had been stolen.
