Jude Bellingham Tipped To Retrace Messi Steps After Matching C.Ronaldo
Arrigo Sacchi believes that Jude Bellingham has the potential to emulate Lionel Messi, with the England international impressing the former manager of Italy.
The Real Madrid midfielder, whose arrival to Santiago Bernabeu cost €103 million (£90 million/$109 million) during the summer transfer window, is still in high demand. He has scored 10 goals in as many games this season for the Blancos, matching Cristiano Ronaldo records along the way.

Bellingham has also been a standout for his nation, aiding the Three Lions in securing their spot at the European Championship in Germany next summer. In his most impressive performance to date, he helped England defeat Italy 3-1 at Wembley by winning a penalty and setting up a goal for Marcus Rashford.
Former Italian coach Sacchi, who is now a member of Bellingham’s expanding fan base, said to Gazzetta dello Sport: “He was dominant. Damn, he is so strong. He does everything. He always plays for the team. Only Messi had impressed me so much at his age. Of course, Bellingham is different from Leo, but if he remains this humble he can retrace his steps because Bellingham is world-class.”
Bellingham, who is only 20 years old, has already won 27 caps for England and is rapidly approaching 200 club appearances for Birmingham, Borussia Dortmund, and Real. Similar to Messi, who is poised to win his eighth Golden Ball, he is the favourites to win the renowned Golden Boy award in 2023 and may later challenge for the Ballon d’Or.
