A neighbour, Malam Bala Abubakar, shared with newsmen in Dorayi on Monday, what happened.

He said he was alerted by alarm and shouts of help and quickly sprang outside despite being only clad in in a towel, as wrapper.

What he and others who responded to the distress call saw, he said, was horrific.

It was bedlam in the whole neigbourhood that before long, the police arrived.

They arrested 23 year old nephew of the deceased woman, Umar Auwalu, who confesed to the deed and three others.

Items recovered from the suspects include blood-stained clothes, two mobile phones belonging to the victims, a cutlass, and a club.
