How Covenant Christian Ministry played host to Tim Godfrey

It was with much fanfare that The Covenant place, the home of worship to the Covenant Christian ministry received music minister, Tim Godfrey to headline their concert tagged “Finishing strong 2019”.

The Covenant place made host to Tim Godfrey and he music crew on Sunday, 10th of November 2019. The concert kicked off at exactly 5 pm with the opening prayer led by one of their in house Pastors. Although people had started trooping in far before the 5 pm start time.

Succeeding the opening prayer was a powerful praise and worship session from the ministry’s resident choir which lasted for about 35 minutes. It was during the course of this session that the guest minister walked in with his band and they were received by a loud cheer from the congregation.

After the worship session, the Senior pastor mounted the Pulpit to give the welcome address and to invite the guest minister to take over the service. At this stage, the congregation were already uneasy and the atmosphere was charged.

Tim Godfrey and his band took to the stage in all matching tracksuits which was a beauty to behold. He started off by introducing and teaching his latest single “Onaga” to the congregation then continued with a number of his previously released tracks which moved the whole Church to their feet.

The concert was brought to a close around 7:30 pm. It was truly an atmosphere of joy in God’s presence.
