A promising humanitarian and youths lover in the Ifako-Ijaiye constituency of Lagos, Hon Akeem Afolabi Ojerinde is making good his commitment to empowering young minds and transforming their futures in the sprawling neighbourhood.
This he is doing with the provision of 200 free Forms for candidates to the Joint Admissions & Matriculation Board (JAMB) examinations, backed up with free tutorials for them.


Hon Ojerinde wants the best for Ifako-Ijaiye youths and has been demonstrating this
Hon Ojerinde who is Senior Legislate Aide, to the Speaker House of Representatives,
Rt Honorable Tajudeen Abbas, is of the conviction that the initiative will avail many underprivileged but ambitious youths in the constituency the opportunity to access the higher education ladder, and also ensure that they are adequately prepared for the competitive examination.

Providing a background to the Free JAMB Forms and free coaching initiative, he said:
“As a leader, I firmly believe that education is the foundation of a better future.
” It is the most powerful tool we can give our youth to unlock opportunities and drive meaningful change in our communities.
“In my commitment to supporting education in Ifako-Ijaiye, I am providing 200 free JAMB forms to qualified candidates who meet the following criteria”, he said.:
The criteria include possession of a minimum of 6 credits in Ordinary Level (O’level) subjects, including Mathematics and English; being up to 16 years of age and being a resident of Ifako-Ijaiye.
“Beyond just providing the forms, we are also organising free coaching tutorials to ensure these students are well-prepared to excel in their exams”, the Honourable said in a statement.
According to him, “This initiative is my way of investing in the future of our youth, ensuring that no deserving student is left behind due to financial constraints”.
Affirming education as not just being a right; but a necessity, he opened: “Together, we can empower young minds and transform lives. Let’s build a brighter future for Ifako-Ijaiye!”.
The Eagle reports that Hon Ojerinde has not held back from empowering and impacting people in his constituency as attested to by other support schemes implemented under the platform of Nana Educational Support Initiatives
His recent palliative distribution is still a reference point in the constituency and beyond.
The gesture provided essential supplies to over 700 households and individuals.
These were in 5kg,10kg bags of rice, with additional cash to some vulnerable individuals in the constituency, especially widows.
The extent of the impact could be felt by the smiles on the faces of the beneficiaries and their warm words of gratitude.
