FG Suspends Air Nigeria Indefinitely Few Months After Launch

The Federal Government of Nigeria on Wednesday suspended its planned national carrier, Nigeria Air.

The suspension is taking place few months after its launch at Faborough.

Nigeria’s  Minister of State for Aviation, Hadi Sirika, made the announcement on the micro-blogging site, Twitter.

According to the Minister, the ‘tough decision’ to suspend the planned national carrier was taken by the Federal Executive Council (FEC).

Sirika tweeted: I regret to announce that the Federal Executive Council has taken the tough decision to suspend the National Carrier Project in the interim.

“All commitments due will be honoured. We thank the public for the support as always,” the minister tweeted.
