Epoch Moment As 30 Political Parties Endorse Ajadi
It was an epoch moment yesterday at Abeokuta, the capital city of Ogun State, where ten political parties and 20 deregistered others boosted the fortunes of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).
At a grand event that took the entire capital by storm, they trooped out in their number, and endorsed the gubernatorial candidate of the party, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo.
The tumultuous crowd later spilled into the streets, drumming and dancing.
Speaking at the event, the chairman of the party, Comrade Sunday Olaposi, appealed to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for free and fair election.
He said this would begin with the INEC ensuring workability of the BVAS as well as immediate transmission of results.
“We believe in the workability of Nigeria, we believe that a free and fair election in the country is possible.
“The presidential election was marred by irregularities; another opportunity is coming this Saturday and we appeal to the INEC to do its job well”, he said.

“I see victory on Saturday, and this presents an opportunity for leaders of these political parties to team up with us and ensure victory for Ajadi on Saturday.
“I believe in the candidacy of Ajadi.
“we believe in unity of purpose, and by the special grace of God, you will not disappointed”, he said

Also speaking, Ambassador Ajadi expressed the optimism that the country was moving to a new Nigeria, when God would Himself provide a relief from several years of suffering and hardship.
“And by the grace of God you will also witness the inauguration of Alufemi Ajadi Oguntonyibo at Oke Mosan.
“And that inauguration is to serve you, and not to lord it over you”, he added.

According to Ajadi, it is indeed a source of concern that Nigerian politicians once they ascend political office, swap the right order of relationship between them and the electorate, making themselves the lords.

He therefore advised Ogun people to vote people who would truly serve them, not the other way round.

“By the grace of God, I will serve the people of Ogun well; I therefore want you to vote for me.
“When you vote NNPP on Saturday, you are voting for yourselves
“You are voting good roads, women empowerment with micro credit support, free education for your children, youth employment, quality healthcare, and clearing of outstanding pension payments in a short time

“Saturday’s election is an opportunity for Nigerians, for Ogun people to reclaim their mandate.
“Come out enmasse and vote out the government that has not improved your condition in four years.
“If they know that your votes count, they would have improved your condition in the last four years”
He said he was coming with a lot of ideas in the key sectors of the economy that would translate to a better life for the people.
Major highlights of the programme, included an open declaration in front of all gathered, by representatives of all the parties collapsing their structures for Ajadi, and a rally round some streets in the capital.
Speaking on behalf of them all, Mr Bolaji Sunday, previously a senatorial candidate under the NAtiona Rescue Movement (NRM), pledged total commitment to the gubernatorial ambition of Ajadi and full identification with the NNNPP.
He appealed to his colleagues to join hands to individually vote and massive mobilise others towards Saturday, so that dream of rescuing Ogun and transforming it would become a reality.
