Egbeda LG Chairman, Ibadan Hosts, Praises Visiting Lagos Team

Hon. Sikiru Sanda Oyedele, the Chairman of Egbeda Local Government, Ibadan, Oyo State, has showered encomiums on a team of youths from Lagos who came calling on a solidarity visit.

The team, members of the All Nigerian Youths Reoriented Initiative said they had come on the solidarity visit on account of the good works Oyedele was doing in his constituency.

He told them that the council was committed to supporting the government at the state level to meet the expectations of the people and that his council was open to suggestions that would help to impart the people of the constituency.

The team was led by Mr Olufemi Ajadi, president of the initiative, who also said the visit was a home-coming of sorts for him, given that he hailed from Osengere ward in the area.

He congratulated the local government chairman for the successful running of the local government since he assumed office, and also his readiness and warmth in receiving the visiting team.

Ajadi  also told other people that he would be happy to see people in positions of relevance, visit their localities, as a way of getting close to their people, and in also understanding their peculiar needs. “Creation of stable electricity, innovation of security intelligence, good transportation system, sound educational system and empowering  our local farmers among others should be the priority of those in authority”, he said.

Earlier, Mr. Cami Ezenwa, who moderated the meeting, had described Ajadi as a son of the soil, and that the visit had been informed by Ajadi’s desire to get closer to his people, and also find ways of mediating in some of their needs, in line with his philanthropic drives..

He described Ajadi as a kind-hearted and broadminded individual and that that had informed the impressive number of followers he brought to Ibadan.

“Mr. Femi Ajadi is well known in Lagos and Ogun State for his philanthropic gestures,” he said.

In his response, “The era of attaining the old age before contesting for the position of presidency in Nigeria has gone.” He said, “A journey of thousand miles starts with a step and Mr. Ajadi has taken the right step by visiting people at the early stage.”
