Double Blow As Barca’s Injury Crisis Deepens

Jules Kounde and Lamine Yamal are currently both expected to miss time due to injuries, adding to Barcelona escalating injury problems.
In the 2-2 tie between Barca and Granada on Sunday night, Kounde sustained a knee injury that was later diagnosed as an MCL sprain. According to The Athletic, the problem is anticipated to keep him out for at least a month, rendering him unavailable for El Clasico on October 28.

It’s not anticipated that Yamal’s blow would be as severe. According to a club announcement, the adolescent has sustained a hip flexor injury but will still go with Spain for the international break after being assessed by the national team’s medical staff.
There are currently 19 days till Barca’s matchup with Real Madrid, and Xavi is currently dealing with a lengthy injury list. All three players—Frenkie de Jong, Robert Lewandowski, and Raphinha—are out. Pedri is getting close to making a comeback, but he still needs to get match-ready.
Barca’s next game is against Athletic Club on October 22. Before then, Xavi will be hoping that none of his other options suffer any more injuries while serving with the national team.
