Destiny Boy Didn’t Die from Rituals: Netizens React

It’s no longer news to many, that Destiny Boy , real name Azeez Adesina, is. late; What however remains a subject of discussion since that painful passage, Sunday 18 January is the course of death of the afro Fuji star.

While many are of the belief that he met his end while consulting a native doctor for rituals, others have said he died from poison.
However neither of the two options is the reason for his death, the mother has come out to say in an interview.
The grieving mother, Mrs Saidat Adesina, she disputed all claims that it was the bid to boost his money or glory that caused her son’s death.
Destiny Boy she said died as a result of a long-time battle with an ailment traditionally called ‘Oku Oru”.
He battled the ailment for 2 years and died from it: Destiny Boy’s Mum asserted.

The demise was at Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, with many having the impression that he died in an herbalist house where he had gone to perform rituals for boost in his glory

He had begun to experience the ailment four days to the naming ceremony of his child

“The people carrying rumors that he died of poisoning are not just carrying fake news, they are also painting Destiny Boy black”, the mother said.
“He began to experience this ailment four days to the naming ceremony of his child when Edun Ifayomi called him that he wanted to give him a cow for the naming ceremony.
“On their way to his home, he held his head and started feeling discomfort, afterward he was taken to the hospital and later was returned back to the man Edun Ifayomi who gave me soap that I used to bath him and he was calm”, she had recalled.
She added that his son ailment could not be publicised that time because he was a superstar, and telling such a sickness out could jeopardize his career”.
Seeing him appear dull on stage she added, would have made fans speculate he was on drugs.
“Due to this, he often has seizure which at times can lead to his temporary behavior of mental disorder”.
One Mr Adekunle Ayobami said that the ailment mentioned could be caused by his engagement in doing drugs.

He emphasised that young people the moment they coin a name for themselves through fame, they tend to resortc to doing lot of illicit things to their body system which may eventually lead to their death.
Mrs Saidat Adesina while rounding mentioned that his son gave his last breath at the hospital when he could no longer take the traditional medicines given him by the herbalist.
She said it was even the herbalist that suggested he should be taken to the hospital since he could no longer take traditional cure.
Reactions from netizens show that they are not moved by the words of the grieving mother given the way she addressed the issue.
For example, Olaide Ibironke said apparently that the deceased was not loved at home.
For her, the curse his mother placed on him and the statement of his mother saying she was busy with her shop that was why she could not follow him to the hospital on time before his death, say a lot.

There is also, reference to a leaked audio earlier revealing how she was heavily laying curse on Destiny Boy because he refused to give her money.
Same was said about her interview in which she allegedly laid curses on those giving the news publicity.
As a result, of this several people refer to her as a dangerous mother. While others are using prayer to support the life of their children, she used curse to destroy her child’s life, some said.
Other resourceful netizens like Mr Oluwatobiloba and Mr Azeez Adeniyi when asked about their take on the issue, sai ignorance is not just a disease but a pandemic, saying they could have learnt enough in the scenes that unfolded during the death of Mohbad.
That she chose to curse over explaining, when she was interviewed, many believe, suggested attempt at hiding something from the society.
