Children Arrest Father, Accuse Him Of Exhuming Their Mother’s Corpse

The children of Oduntan’s family on White House Street, Meiran, Lagos have arrested their father over tampering with their Mother’s corpse.
The incident happened yesterday, as Femi Oduntan and Remi Oduntan, felt that no reason whatsoever should warrant the desecration of the burying place of their beloved mother.
Investigation by our correspondent showed that when the police stormed the compound, they did not see their target, Mr Segun Oduntan, so they took away his new wife whom the children had always known as their father’s concubine before their mother’s demise.
Femi, the eldest son told The Eagle in an interview: ”My father does not have the right to break or tamper with our mother’s grave without prior notice. Even if she was his wife at least, she’s our mother too and we have a right to her”.
Our investigations show that rancor in the family is centred around the point that the man did not observe the 40 days mandatory waiting before remarrying.
However, in his reaction, the eldest Oduntan said: ” I never had the intention of Exhuming my wife’s corpse, for what? All I did was to order bricklayers to break the edge of the grave to reduce the protrusion because a tenant who just parked in complained”.
Realizing that it was not a case of actually exhuming the body, other members of the family pleaded with the police to allow them to wade in and settle the matter.
